SOLD Pending Funds / U.S. Model 1911 S/A Pistol with Arsenal Box, manufactured by Remington-UMC, serial # 17xx6, cal. 45 ACP, has a 5" Colt barrel with a lightly frosted bore. The pistol retains about 92% arsenal grade reapplied rough blue, the grip frame starting to tone to brown, edge wear and assembly marks. There are some handling marks visible under the finish. The grips are replacements, the right is a Colt "Coltwood" panel with large reinforcing rings and internal ribs, left is a Nor Loc replacement panel with the same features as the right but a shade lighter in color. The slide is Colt, with a WWII short style replacement trigger and the above-mentioned barrel, the rest appears correct for Remington. It includes a single Scovill Mfg. Co. marked S on the toe of the magazine and a vintage Rock Island Arsenal shipping box that is numbered to the gun and addressed to the owner. Overall a nice arsenal refurbished 1911 pistol in good plus plus - very good condition. {C&R} Inv. : # 1-1381
