Description:
Colt Officers Model Target Revolver, serial # 536xxx, cal. 38 Special, with a 6" barrel with a near excellent bore showing a few very shallow pits but nothing drastic or alarming and only mentioned for a honest description. This variation is a first-year production (1927) third issue Officers Model. The metal surfaces retain about 96% original blue showing high edge wear, handling marks and minor freckling. The checkered service trigger and hammer retain full blue finish with very light operational wear and staining on the bright sides of the hammer. The checkered walnut factory service grips with silver "Rampant Colt" medallions rate very good to excellent as re-varnished showing light diamond point wear and handling marks. This gun features an elevation adjustable bead front sight, u-notch black blade windage adjustable rear sight and the action functions well mechanically. An nice example of an early Officers Model Target for the shooter or upstart collector, overall condition as described and photographed is very good plus - excellent condition. {C&R} Inv. : # 1-1383
