Payment Types Accepted: cash, check, money order Description: This is an original extremely rare 1849 Riflemansknife made by Ames Manufacturing in 1849 in a contract for 1000 knives. Made to be issued to U.S. Rifleman Regiment. Very few are known that survived. This was the very first military knife contracted by the US military. This knife has an excellent blade that has had some period honing done to it. Not distastefull, just adds to its character as you know it was there.
