Description:
Extremely rare Savage model 1899 "C" or Crescent grade in 303 Savge.Built in 1903,this rifle has a 26" octagon barrel with a mint bore.The recevier is fully engraved in the standard C pattern feturing whitetail deer.The highly figured stock is carved and finely checkered with a crescent butt.The rifle has the correct and original front and rear sights and a Lyman rear peep sight with the original disc.This was someone's deer rifle and not a closet queen.The stock is sound with no cracks or damage other than a few light handling marks.The recevier and barrel retain 95% of the original blue finish.An all original higher grade 1899 that would make a fine addition to any collection and a fun rifle to shoot and hunt with.I would consider possible trades for uality shotguns or rifles.C&R eligible.
