Guns by Sally-always the best for less. We are really proud to offer this very good example of Winchester's sought after model 65. This one is one of the rarest of the breed, chambered in 32-20. Only about 5700 of these slender rifles were made, making them high on the list of the Winchester collector. However, they have chased the 218 Bee version for decades, forgetting what made the 65 so desirable in the first place. While only about 1650 were 32's, nearly twice that many were 218 Bee. Smart collectors have finally caught on, and the value of these ultra low production guns has really jumped. This particular gun is in very good condition, with only light handling marks present. The blue is original, with some thinning at carry points, blotchy patina on the barrel, and some thinning near the muzzle. The wood is also very good, having a good fit around the steel. The action works as designed, including the half cock safety. It is crisp and smooth, and the bore of the 22 inch barrel is absolutely gleaming. Even the checkered steel butt plate looks great, and all stampings are clear and sharp. This is a late production rifle, made in the 1943-47 period when only a few came out of the Winchester factory. If you have been looking for the right model 65 to collect or for investment, but you want one of the rarest calibers offered, then look no further.
