A Good working Model 1909 New Service Revoler chambered for the potent .47 Lpong Colt Caliber . Action is very tight , with sloid index and lock -up. Hammer full locked no cylinder wobble. What's going for this gun is the well-known Colt quality high polish finish where the parts are high polished and then blued and polished again.The finish is trasparent and mirror like . SN 466XX. U.S markings on the butt are readible, and stated model 1909.These were sold to the USMC in a military contract. The bore is mirror clean and strong rifling.The issued America factory made plain walnut grips are solid and good condition with minor wear at the bottom edge of the right grips from being holstered. The exterior metal is factory blue finish of about 90% with wear to the front and back grip s traps. Someone cut the lanyard loop off, but they are available. A good shooter and the largest pre-war Colt made revolver built to last a very long time!When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
