<<<SOLD>>>>A very intriguing OTTOMAN /BALKAN KARIOFILI FLINTLOCK MUSKET of excpetual quality in need of restoration. Once the very fine musket of a nobleman, with Bulkan Association and the round pierced brass disc on both sides of the stock of the Imperial Russian two headed eagle. Right side of the stock has most of the intriquite carved, ad inlaid MOP and the left side has less inlays. The opening for the lock was lined with steel as the lock area had taken much abuse from removing the lock plate everytime the gun was cleaned thoroughly , and the gun must be assembled and fired at this stage as the breech block had been removed and just pushed into the breech of the barrel. Overll length is about 62" overall the highly decorated and chisel engraved barrel with many portraits, and various mystical as well as factual animals. The barrel high relief is a work of native art, and worthy hacve havingba new breech plud threaded into it so it can be utliized. The total length os the barrel is about 49" lomg. A rare native workmanship musket that could have an old relic lock installed to make a wonderfull wall hanger.I sell many relic and blackpowder parts on Ebay..When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
