Description:
NEW PRICE - I will be thinning out my 45 year collection over the next month or so. This is for Prescott Navy revolver in .38 Rimfire, circa 1861. It is one of the rare iron frames, with less than 200 made. It also has a 6" barrel - the only one I have ever seen or heard about. Flayderman notes that the shortest barrel known is the  6 1/2" barrel  - and this is a 6"! It hasNOT been cut down. It will ship in a custom, solid black walnut case along with: * African ebony and pre-ban ivory handled cleaning rod and brush, * a brass oiler, * a compartment with an original, period, empty ammo box, and * a 6 round bullet block. This cased Prescott revolver can be found in the 2nd Edition of "The Civil War and the Firearms Trade" on pages 203, 307 & 308. The case measures 13" X 8 1/2" X 4", with a curly maple piece inlaid in the case lid. The  cartridges shown in the bullet block are not included.
