Book is new, hard cover with jacket, published by Alliance Books Inc., this is a special edition held in reserve, #8 of 50 of the Author’s Series, numbered in 1984. It is signed by the author and stamped with embossed "Library of Roger C Rule".
The title describes the book as it covers all of the Winchester products that were made by Winchester Repeating Arms Company in the last century before Western Arms purchased the company. These were the golden years of Winchester. Products include: Pocket Knives, all Cutlery, Tools, Fishing Tackle, Flashlights (shown in color), Ice and Roller Skates, Guns and Ammunition with Winchester archival photographs of Firearms, a Firearms Production Summary of each model, and a complete catalog of Component Parts reproduced from 1931 that cover models even in the 19th century. The preface is a history of guns and shows how Winchester fit in the big picture. (The pocket knife section alone goes from page 52 to page 76 roughly a dozen knives on each page.) The guns and ammunition section shows engraving and carving types offered in the Custom Shop.
