Description:
A good working example of the French Gras 1874 Musketoon made by the armory St. Etienne. A single shot early bolt acton chambered for the 11X59R mm caliber, with a 27" long barrel, with a good bore , of strong rifling and some surface corrosion. Acting os smooth . The right aide of the stock has a round hole drilled to have holy water blessed and then later plugged. The model is odd as it has two brass barrel bands and a bayonet lug, uncommon for a musketoon. The stock, bolt and receiver all have different mnumbers. The French walnut stock is very good and the right side has a wear area above the brass trigger guard and behind the bolt. Coes with a cleaning rod. When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting. To buy a gun from me you must get a direct email for me, with details, and shipping cost.
