Description:
This is a premier grade shotgun. Elaborate engraving that features 2 game scenes. On the receiver bottom is multiple birds taking off from a pond. Beautifully done engraving that is crisp and sharp. Gun also has the crystal indicator sidelock feature. One of the barrels is 26 inches long and the other is 28 inches long. The 26 inch barrel is marked on top of the rib "Paul Jaeger Jenkin Town". The other is marked "Sleeved by I. M. Crudgington Bath England". Both barrels feature the same type of engraving on top extension. The 28 inch barrel is choked modified and improved cylinder. The 26 inch barrel is choked improved cylinder and improved cylinder.
A gorgeous outfit. The barrels have been reblued and retain most all of that finish. The frame has been refinished some time ago and has about 80-90% of the bright case colors remaining. Mechanics are excellent and should make a fine shooter. All fitted in a oak and leather case with correct W.C. Scott label. Inside of the case has been redone in a red felt velour and is very attractive. Antique made in 1891.
