Description:
Serial #01072, .45 ACP, 5" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is one of a handful of high quality target pistols (the 72nd manufactured, in fact) made by the Remsport Mfg. company of Ludlow, MA. The pistol is built on a Remsport 1911A1 frame with extended safety, skeleton trigger, and an unmarked, target sight-equipped slide. the metal retains nearly all of the original blue finish on the slide, with a commensurate amount of Du-Lite blue on the frame and small parts. The checkered walnut grips are likewise in excellent, almost unused condition with few handling marks and sharp checkering points. The pistol has a Colt barrel installed, and comes with a single “G" marked WW2 magazine (General Shaver), that has been refinished to match the pistol. This is an extremely well made, impeccably finished pistol by a company better known for their parts production rather than finished pistols, and would make a great addition to any collection. FFL
