Description:
Up for your consideration is a very nice 1873 Winchester 44-40 second model. This rifle has a 24" octagon barrel with an excellent bore with sharp rifling and only very minor frosting. One of the best antique Winchester bores I've seen in a long time. The rifle retains a lot of nice finish on the barrel and in some protected spots on the receiver. The serial number is 59,380 making it an earlier second model. This rifle has the original front and rear sight as well as a set trigger. The brass plate is correctly unmarked and the caliber is also absent from the barrel-as it should be on a second model. The barrel address is crisp and correct. Don't wait on this one!
