This is a very nice example of the sought-after CZ Model 452 Special Military Training Rifle in .22 LR that was discontinued 7 years ago in 2013. First Introduced in 2001/2002, the CZ Model 452 Special Military Training Rifle features the same superb action as the 452 LUX but with a 24.75" inch barrel with military-style iron sights, a Beechwood stock, and a 5-shot detachable box magazine. The receiver has an integral optics rail for tip-off style mounts, and all of the metal parts features a factory blued finish. This model quickly earned a reputation for extreme accuracy, excellent reliability, and top quality construction with shooters all over the United States and abroad. This particular example was made in 2001, making it a first year production rifle. It has been lightly used and well cared-for. The original factory blue finish is in excellent condition, rating 97% with only a few tiny handling marks making up the deductions. The bore is mirror-bright and pristine, with sharp lands and grooves showing in the rifling throughout the barrel and no visible imperfections. The factory iron sights on this rifle have been modified slightly with a removable hi-viz fiber optic front blade installed in place of the normal steel blade, and the rear sight notch has been changed from a square notch to a rounded notch. This rear sight modification was done to make it line up perfectly with the receiver mounted Williams peep sight. The sight picture on this CZ is very intuitive, and really lines up exceptionally fast and precisely with this combination of sights. The original factory Beechwood stock on this CZ is in excellent condition overall, free from any cracks, chips, repairs, or major dings/damage. Only under close inspection will you find some very minor handling marks/safe dings and there are no bad spots or eyesores. The factory stock hardware is all intact and in excellent condition including the factory checkered black plastic buttplate and the factory sling swivel studs. The action on this CZ is slick and precise, and there is zero play in the bolt when turned into battery. The trigger is very good, breaking with a light pull with no grittiness or slop. All of the controls on this rifle are in perfect working order, and we have no doubt it will shoot just as accurately and reliably as the day it originally left the factory 19 years ago. If you have been looking for a super accurate and neat .22 rifle to add to your collection this CZ 452 Special Military Training Rifle would be an excellent choice. Not only should it be an excellent performer but it should prove to be an excellent long-term investment as well.
