Description:
Smith & Wesson Model 629-4, Classic, satin stainless steel, .44 magnum, double-action revolver, with 6½-inch, full-lug barrel, with Power Port; fluted cylinder; original wood grips;  target trigger (0.400-inch wide) with grooved face; target hammer (0.500-inch wide spur) with checkered spur; open adjustable rear sight; and fix front sight blade.  The overall length of the gun is 12 inches; overall height is 6½; its unloaded weight 3 pounds, 2.6 ounces.  Accessories include the original box, the original Safety, Instruction, and Parts Manual, and the original warranty card (never filed).  Year of manufacture is 1997.

The overall condition of this gun is 99+ percent, with one exception - the right wood grip has a large chunk of wood broken off just behind the trigger guard (see photo).  Otherwise, the gun is practically perfect.  The usual cylinder-lock ring is very light, indicating light shooting.  The checkering on the stocks is deep and crisp, with no wear.  The gun has obviously been fired a few times, as is evidenced by the carbon on the front of the cylinder.  See the photos of the cylinder ring and the front of the cylinder.  What looks like carbon stain on the left side of the hammer is actually color from the cased-hardened trigger.  These factors indicate that the gun has been fired very little.

The photos are high resolution, so zoom to see details.  Contact me for additional photos of any area you would like to see or see better.

The buyer pays USPS Priority mail ($25) and insurance ($12.70), if insurance is desired.  Insurance is calculated from the USPS - $7.30 for the first $600 of insurance, plus $.90 for each additional $100 of insurance (rounded up) above the first $600 dollars.  I will accept a personal check, but will hold the gun until it clears.  I will also accept a USPS money order which I do not have to hold, as it clears immediately.  I will accept other type money orders, but will hold gun until they clear.    Check or money orders must be made out to Jerry Pownall.

USPS money orders are limited to $1,000, so two USPS money orders will be required for this purchase.
