Description:
This Pre WWII Winchester Model 70 was built in 1942. The metal is all original finish with some light scratches and handling marks as a result of hunting usage. The bore is good, the bolt serial number matches. The front of the receiver is tapped with filler screws, the rear sight bridge has not been tapped which is also proper. The rear side mounted sight is a Lyman which is also proper. The stock has the proper original butt plate and has not been cut. The wood has mostly wear to the original varnish from hunting usage with only a couple deeper small dings on the left side at the front of the receiver. This caliber is getting harder to come by all the time.
