Description:
Serial #42661, .30 US (.30-40 Krag), 28" barrel with a lightly frosted, good shootable bore that has strong rifling. This is an honest 1903 built Winchester 1895 sporting rifle that has a silver to gray-brown patina on the metal surfaces with some original blue left on the protected areas and some scattered light freckling. The walnut stock and forearm are very good to excellent with minor old bruises and blemishes that have an aged appearance and a 1/2" long shallow crack with the grain on the right side just behind the receiver. The gun is equipped with the correct semi buck horn sporting rear elevator sight and brass blade front. The gun functions properly and would be great for the collection and to shoot, in an easy to find cartridge. FFL or C&R
