This 1942 dated pistol has an overall dull ochre patina on the brass frame and barrel, with a slightly brighter tone on the flared barrel extension. Numerous small peen marks and blemishes are present on the left side of the frame, however the “CSR / SYDNEY" maker’s mark is still clear and legible. Extensive military proof and inventory stamps are present throughout, as well as two large “D^K" Australian property stamps on the left side of the frame and barrel. The trigger, hammer spur, and barrel stirrup have a pewter gray patina, with additional freckling throughout. The lock-up is tight and the heavily worn, but intact, hard rubber grips are in very good condition with numerous minor handling marks and flattened checkering points. This is a fine example of a desirable, Australian contractor-made Mk. III flare gun. SOLD Manufacturer: Australian Model: Mk. III* Serial Number: 11666 Caliber Info: 25mm Gauge Info: 25mm |
