Description:
Serial #535844, .270 Win., 22" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1961-made rifle that has retained 97-98% of the original blue finish with some very mild silvering at the muzzle, and along some of the high edges and projections. Most of the finish loss occurs on the bearing surfaces of the bolt, which has silvering along its length, and some fading on the handle and knob. The original iron sights, and front sight hood, are still present, and the filler screws are missing from the matted receiver. There is a very small and unobtrusive import stamp on the underside of the barrel just ahead of the forend. The original checkered walnut stock has very few handling marks, and only mild flattening of the points, however the checkered aluminum buttplate has been polished bright along the edges. This is a very nice Pre-'64 Featherweight, and rates fine-excellent condition overall. FFL or C&R
