This gun is part of a 45 year old personal collection. Over the next few months i'm going to be offering several RARE & NICE collectable firearms. This listing is a gorgeous colt, new service revolver, target model, .45 Colt, with a 7 1/2 inch barrel. Serial number: 325971. Made in 1929 per FACTORY LETTER included in sale. The original Colt rich blue finish is near perfect, with only very slight blue wear at the end of the barrel. Target models have hand checkered grip frame and hand hone action. This was Colts finest hand crafted double action revolver ever produced. The mechanics are excellent and the lock up is tight. The bore is perfect and the rifling is sharp. Has patridge front sight and fully adjustable rear sight. The F.D.L. walnut grips are numbered to the gun. They are EXTREMELY RARE and are in perfect shape. There is NO evidence of firing on this revolver. The craftsmanship on this revolver has never been equaled, including Colt pythons. There was only 1,000 Colt new service target model .45 long Colt's ever produced. Making this a MUST for any colt collector. You will NOT be disappointed.
