This Winchester M-64 Deluxe .32 WS "Deer Rifle", as described in the "Winchester Pocket Guide by Schwing". was produced between 1946-47. The rifle's serial number is 1235801. It has the optional 24 inch barrel with the ramp front sight. Incuding the sight hood. The rear sight is a "Marbels of Gladstone , Mi". This possibly could have been a special order along w/ the original factory placed order - in it's day.
This M-64 came out of an estate where several Lever Action Wichester's of it's type were all in this very exquisite condition. The Winchester sling swivel brackets are recessed & intact on this rifle. The stock and forearm retain all of the original type finish. The checkering is sharp with no flattening. The hard rubber grip cap is in new condition. The stock and forend have no damage or dents. The original bluing would rate a 98% and better overall condition. The Buttstock & forend abt 97% The bore is bright & shows a distinct nice twist. The bolt face shows minimal use. The action is smooth and tight. The steel butt plate has no blue loss. There is no indication that this rifle has had but minimal use. This Winchester M-64 Deluxe is in collector grade condition ! Most of these 64's were well used as this was a popular hunting rifle. I would rate this Win M-64 Deluxe as an NRA Excellent. This would be an excellent choice for the discerning Winchester Lever Action collector.
