Description:
This fine percussion Pennsylvania long rifle measures 54 1/2" overall with an octagonal barrel of 38 1/2". The rifle weights 10 lbs. 0 oz. and is approximately .38 caliber. It has a silver blade front sight on a dovetailed brass base. The rear sight is iron. It has a pewter nosecap and the stock is made of "Tiger Maple". It has a full brass patchbox and brass fittings, with a small silver lockbolt sideplate. The buttplate and toe plate are brass. The bolster appears to have been replaced. Overall a fine example of a Pennsylavania longrifle.
