Description:
This is not an original Double Diamond Deluxe. It is a Winchester Model 42 pump action .410 bore shotgun, that was masterfully made-up to resemble a Double Diamond DELUXE grade. Made in late 1958 it has a 26” barrel with factory “donut” base round post vent rib chambered for 3” shells and choked WS-1 (Skeet). Straight/English grip buttstock with diamond checkered in the bottom and double diamond checkered forearm. “DELUXE” stamped in the bottom of the receiver just below the serial number. In addition to being an extremely rare variation of the M42 this gun appears to be absolutely New In Box (NIB). I know for certain that it has remained unassembled in the box for the last 30 years in a private collection in the Kansas City area...this is true, the gun was purchased as original and has sat in the box!
Also please note the I did not clean the original packing grease off of the gun before photographing! Since I doubt the authenticity of this gun I have re-priced it accordingly 7-23.20
