DWM Luger, Benke Thiemann Stock. Super scarce and charismatic DWM 1920 Commercial with Benke Thiemann Shoulder stock. SN:380m. Cal: 7.65mm. Standard configuration 1920 Commercial Luger with 3 5/8” barrel having drift adjustable front sight and fixed rear sight. No chamber marking. Intertwined DWM on middle toggle link. Crown/N proofing on barrel, left side of receiver and left side of breech block. Full serial number and letter suffix under barrel and forward frame with last two digits repeated on all of the usual small parts. Right side of receiver marked “GERMANY” as applied to pistols for export. Major and many minor parts are rust blued with strawed takedown lever, trigger, magazine release, safety and ejector. Fire blued toggle pins and grip screws. Deeply checkered unnumbered walnut grips. Correct tinned magazine with wood plug marked “ Germany”. Attached to Benke Thiemann stock whose left side is marked “PATENT BENKE/THIEMANN D.R.P.u. A.P.” Distributed by “ARMERIA BELGA/SANTIAGO-CHILE”. The right side of stock is marked with serial number 14, making it one of the first of fewer than 300 stocks produced. Condition: Pistol with approximately 99% bright original rust blue with minimal sharp edge wear and trace fading over chamber. Front and backstrap in the same extraordinary condition that equally applies to the small parts that show no evidence of enhanced heat treatment. Crisp walnut grips. VG magazine with excellent, well marked plug. Mirror bright bore and perfect manual mechanics. Blued Benke Thiemann stock, crisply marked, with fading in areas of handling. Secures tightly to pistol and locks open with no wobble.
