Springfield Armory 1903 "NRA Sporter" .30-06
24" "Star Guaged" Barrel Dated 06/28 with a near excellent bore.
The American walnut stock rates very good and has some light dings and minor impact marks. There is a visible firing proof, no other markings are present and most of what appears to be the original varnish is present. The butt has the NRA shotgun style buttplate that has been mounted via a 1” wood spacer leaving the length of pull at about 13 5/8".
The original front sight remains intact and a correct Lyman 48S receiver sight with aperture has been installed, the front receiver ring has been tapped for a mount. Overall this is a very good NRA Sporter that is in the correct number and date range and has had a few minor alterations.
