Description:
Here is a dandy from the old west. It is a Wells Fargo double barrel 12 gauge shotgun. It has all of the Wells Fargo marking that include markings on the left side of the buttstock. They show Wells Fargo Property 25 with W.F. & Co. Also shown are Wells Fargo Express and S.F. CAL. under it. The right side of the stock has a metal plate with Wells Fargo Express 25 and the year 1894. The wood is stamped STAGE and ST. LOUIS with the number 25 stamped into it. The maker's mark shows SAXTOU on the left side and the right side is marked MACHINE MADE. The top of the barrels on the rib is marked Belgium Laminated Steel. The bores look fine and the action works well. The hammers cock and fire correctly. This gun has double triggers. The stock does have a repair behind the tang but appears solid. The barrel length is 21” which is perfect for a Stage Coach gun I would presume. The overall length of the shotgun is 37 1/2”. If this baby could talk I am sure it would have some stories to tell. I offer a three day non firing inspection period and always want the buyer to be satisfied with their purchase. The gun will be packed correctly and shipped in a hard case via FedEx Air with insurance to you in the continental United States for $55. This gun does not require an FFL license for transfer as it is considered an antique. I ship the following day after the payment arrives and provide tracking information.
