A perfect carry gun for these times. Offered is a 4th Model Nickel Colt Detective Special from 1974. The gun remains in 98% condition and is mechanically perfect with an excellent bore and is equipped with a set of Pachmayr grips. There is a slight rub on the front right side of the barrel and this is shown in photo #5. In 1973 Colt released the Fourth Issue of the iconic Detective Special. This was the first major redesign of the Detective Special including changing the barrel to a new heavy version that added a shroud to cover the ejector rod and a long ramped front sight. The grips were changed with this 4th model to a new wrap-around style that completely covered the frame for a better feel. I offer a three day non-firing inspection period and always want the buyer to be satisfied with their purchase. The gun will be packed correctly and shipped via FedEx Air with insurance to your FFL dealer in the continental United States for $55 (California is extra because I have to ship through my local dealer). This gun requires an FFL license for transfer. I ship the following day after the payment arrives and provide tracking information.
