Description:
Marked on top of the barrel in shaded letters is the name "F. Baader in Munchen". Gun features a medium weight 24 inch swamped octagon barrel with 4 or 5 two tone bands at the breech and one at the muzzle. Beautifully engraved on the upper tang with bird scenes and numerous gold inlays as well as on the receiver area. The back action lock is beautiful done with more gold inlays. High quality gun that must have been made for someone of importance because of the work quality. Walnut stock retains most original varnish and is elaborately relief done hunting scene. The forearm and wrist have elaborate checkering and carving and a roped border. Fancy sights. Hammer features more engraving and more inlays. Double set triggers. Excellent mechanical condition. Original ram rod is present. Barrel has sharp corners and is a plum/brown color. Original sling swivels. A beautiful fancy gun in fine condition.
