Beautiful & One of a Kind with High Grade Wood
Here we present an antique Engraved Side by Side 16 Gauge Percussion Shotgun by Thompson, made circa the Mid-19th Century. This is an English piece that is elegant in its simplicity and practicality. This double barrel hammer gun would have been used for putting game on the table or having a fun afternoon shooting clay pigeons at the club. This one features gold-banded barrels and neat engraving throughout. The wood on the stock is simply gorgeous.
The overall condition is Fine. The action is excellent, strong and crisp. The bores are smooth, dark and dusty with age. Small dent at the left muzzle that can be taken out. This would be a fine piece for the display case or perhaps the field!
