Description:
Gorgeous Browning Medalist made in 1968, arguably the most beautiful target pistol extent in original Browning shipping case with bullet block, full compliment of accessories, shell deflector and two keys.  SN:  116821T8.  Cal:  .22LR.  The Browning Medalist was made from 1962-1974. Though promoted as a target pistol, the rosewood forend and elaborate grip provided a visual impact far greater than any of its competitors.  Features included a 6.75” barrel with ventilated rib, a patridge front sight and fully micro-adjustable rear sight.  The Browning Arms Co is marked on the left side.  Caliber and manufacturing origin are on the right side.  Belgium proofs along with “Browning’s Patent” are under the barrel with proofing repeated on the left side of the slide.  Serial number suffixed by “T8” on the front strap.  Original Browning marked magazine.  Rosewood Schnabel contoured forend.  Thumbrest grip with extensive checkering on each side.  Fitted in black leatherette case, lined in red velvet. Compartmentalized for pistol, bullet block, accessory weights and screwdriver.  Brass fittings include ownership plaque on lid and Browning oval in case.  No instruction booklet.  Condition:  Virtually new with 99.99% original blue and polyurethane wood finish.  No discernible wear around trigger guard, front strap or under tang.  Excellent magazine with insertional wear as photographed. Accessories and screwdriver in comparable condition.  Excellent case with negligible scuffs.  No interior tears. An absolutely wonderful Browning pistol complete with accessories, as shipped from the factory in 1968, missing only the instruction booklet.  A HISTORIC INVESTMENT!
