Description:
Beretta S 3EL 12 ga 1977 Safe Queen NEVER ASSEMBLED by Previous Owner

Yes, the above is true.  This Beretta S 3EL Serial # A03960B, manufactured in 1977 and engraved by Uberti G. this shotgun was gifted to its previous owner circa 1978 or so.  Deemed too pretty to shoot. The has gun lived in his vault room unassembled.  It's action is vault tight.  The shotgun has 28-inch barrels which are factory fix choked Full and Modified.  The unfired bores are mint condition and as bright as the day they left Italy.  The top rib is a low or flat ventilated rib tapered from breech to muzzle.  The barrels are made from Boehler Antinit Steel. Even the top rib and solder joints at the muzzle are treated to a criss cross decorative treatment.  This is the highly desired and superior 4 pin lockwork which is superior and far more durable than the 7 pin types of earlier manufacture.  The well figured and nicely grained stock has a checkered butt.  The checkering is perfect throughout and this stock includes a right-handed palm swell.  LOP is 14 ¼ inches from the center of the checkered trigger face to the checkered butt stocks end.  Drop at comb is 1 5/8” with the Drop at heel coming in at 2”. The gun weighs 7lbs 7 ounces on the postal scales.  The breech face and sides of the mono-block are completely devoid of any marks or other typical indicators of wear.  The same goes for the typical scuffs one would find on the sides of the barrels bluing on a firearm that has been assembled for use or even display.  Again, the gun was never assembled by the previous owner.  The receiver and side plates are covered in extensive hand executed engraving.  The blued top lever and trigger guard were not neglected either.  Both are equally well enhanced by a continuation of the engravers art.  The gun was supplied with the leather case you see in the photos.  It has a few small impressions acquired from other cases with in the collection.  The original yellow sleeves are included as is the rather rudimentary instruction manual.  We must have been much smarter back in the day.
