Description:
A very fine fully engraved German 16 ga double with 29" original barrels with chokes of both barrels suoer , super tight IMP/ FULL with inside bore diameters of : Right, 590", and left .610, and the bores are super shiny clean. Locks up tighter than a drum, and the barrels are about full soft blue, with the left side closer to the breech has fading, with the heavily deep engaved receiver is silver colored. This is a Greener cross bolt quality double.Made in Suhl, Germany.The German walnut finely hand checkered stock, with a hunting upland bird designed carving on the end of the buttstock. Comes with the narrow German / European sling swivels. LOP is about 14 3/8" with a pressed horn butt-plate.Drop at comb is 1 1/2" and the drop of the heel is 2 5/8" . The left side of the receiver has a rabbit engraved scene, and the right side has a fox chasing an upland grouse! The trigger guard has a crack in the front and can be mended with black epoxy, made of horn and the pistol grip oval is also horn. Krupp Essen stamped on the barrel. A very high quality gentelmen's 16 ga. double made before the war. When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
