Description:
This is an original World War 2 Barrel by High Standard for the Colt Model 1911A1 in .45 ACP. It will go in any 1911 or 1911a1 but High Standard barrels originally went on Remington Rand, Union Switch and Signal, and Ithaca 1911a1's according to Clawson's Book on the Colt 1911. The bore is bright and shiny and looks excellent. It's probably been fired but very little as you can still see the little shaving linesmade by the rifling machine down in the grooves. Right side of lug is marked "H S" while the left side is stamped with a "P". It has the link and pin. Outside has about 80% parkerized finish. Nice WW2 barrel.
