Rare opportunity to own a COLT 1911A1 COMMERCIAL (very early production - one of 5,500). This is THE highly sought after civilian 1911 with the MOST coveted high polish Colt Carbona Blue finish (you can comb your hair holding it up in the sunlight!) and the HIGHEST build quality! NO sloppy, rough finished or crude GI gun here! Also, keep in mind that 1937 was the 1st year since 1924 that COLT restarted 1911 military contract production for the U.S. Armed Forces as events became increasingly obvious WWII was looming on the horizon. Once WWII began, COLT ceased 1911 COMMERCIAL production for the duration of the War.

I received it back from TURNBULL RESTORATION about 2 weeks ago, have not disassembled it or cleaned it. Rather, it remains unfired nor have I put any ammo in either the magazine or the pistol itself. Nor have I inserted the #4 magazine into the pistol either.
It will ship from my local FFL in Pennsylvania - no exceptions - and be THOROUGHLY packed like it was the Mona Lisa for overnight shipping to your FFL.
