Description:
This is a very nice all-original High Standard Olympic model in .22 Short. Manufactured sometime between 1951 and 1953, this handsome High Standard features a 4.5" inch bull barrel with provisions for barrel weights, a factory gloss-blue finish, a steel frame with an alloy slide, factory adjustable target-style sights, checkered brown plastic grips, and a 10-shot detachable magazine. This Olympic has never been altered or modified and remains 100% like the day it left the factory. The factory blue finish shows only some light wear and minor handling marks, with most of the finish wear concentrated on the front and rear grip straps. As you can see from the pictures provided, this Olympic is still a very attractive pistol. The bore in the 4.5" inch barrel is pristine with perfect, sharp rifling and no visible imperfections whatsoever. The original factory grips are also in excellent condition, free from any cracks, chips, repairs, or major dings/dents. Both grip panels are nice and tight to the frame with no wiggle. The action on this High Standard is slick and smooth, with a superb slide to frame fit. All of the controls are in perfect working order on this pistol, including the adjustable rear sight. This Olympic should function 100% like the day it left the factory more than 68 years ago. This pistol comes complete with one original factory 10rd magazine in excellent condition. If you have been looking for a really neat vintage .22 Short target pistol this 1950's Olympic would be an excellent choice. This pistol is C&R eligible.
