Description:
Fabulous Pre War Winchester Model 12 in 16 gauge. This shotgun is 100% original in all regards and the best example I have ever seen or owned. The overall condition easily rates 98% or better with only minimal signs of handling. S/N 596*** made in 1929! The 28" nickel steel barrel has a mirror bore. The choke is Full. The chamber is 2 3/4" and is factory stamped as such on the barrel and under the receiver S/N after having made the transition from 2 9/16" shells just two years prior in 1927. The mechanics and lock up are naturally like new. There are even remnants of what appears to be factory cosmoline type grease inside of the action components and I doubt this shotgun has been fired much if any beyond factory testing. You will look long and hard to ever find one as good.
