Description:
This is a very nice Springfield Armory Model 1898 in .30-40 Krag. This model was replaced later by the Springfield Model 1903 in .30-06 Springfield. The blued 30" barrel and receiver are in very good condition. Not bad for a 122 year old rifle. The rifled bore is in very good condition with clear sharp rifling. The factory trigger is firm and crisp after a short take up. The smooth dark walnut stock is in very good condition. This is a very nice survivor Springfield Armory Model 1898es with bayonet and sheath. No box or other accessories.
