Best I've seen yet, Another Rare to find this WWI era Garate Anitua / Spanish made .455 revolver for the English officers private purchase, with a 5 " barrel super clean rifled bore. Gun locks up tight, and indexes good and chambers the English military round of .455 cal. Finish is dark blue ,and appears to all original arsenal blue.. Has pressed buffalo horn grips in very good condition, and look like S&W..With a severe shortage of military grade firearms available at the beginning of the Great War, puchases were made where ever available guns were made. Front sight is a half moon blade and is pinned. This is a double Action only pistol. There are Birmingham English proofs on each cylinder flue, and on the barrel left side in front of the cylinder. Frame has marked the English flaming bomb over NP , over BP, and others. .
