Description:
This is a very nice and collectible Over/ Under Tipping and Lawden Pistol. Approx .46 caliber percussion . Looks like a small "HOWDAH" Pistol. Barrels are 4.25 " long. The smooth bores are very good and show very little wear. Has a finely checkered , Dark European one piece Walnut stock that shows some smoothing and light handling marks. Has metal grip cap that is hinged for percussion cap storage. The inside of the cap is marked "OW". The back top of the grip, above the Silver Dedication plate, has the number "58" stamped in the wood. Has a Bridled steel Ramrod. The Frame, Hammers, Butt Cap, bottom of Trigger guard, end of ramrod and muzzle end of both barrels are nicely scroll engraved. Finish is all Blue Brown patina. Action on both Hammers is strong in both cock and half cock. Has English proofs. No numbers , other than those already mentioned.
