J. Lang London . Over Under Howdah type. .64 Caliber Percussion. 5.75" smoothbore barrels that are in excellent condition. gun is beautifully engraved with tight English scrollwork on the frame, hammers,trigger guard , rod tip and hinge, muzzle end of both barrels, and grip cap. Marked on top scroll engraved frame tang ,"J. LANG/ HAYMARKET/ LONDON". Overall the metal shows a bright brown patina color , remains smooth with very sharp edges. The checkered wood grip retains a dark untouched finish with no cracks or damage except for 1/4" weathered gouge on right side and small bumps and smoothing. Solid Silver nameplate . Original bead front sight with sighted breech, swivel ramrod, and triggerguard. The engraved buttcap features a small compartment which securely springs open and snaps shut. Both hammers are matching originals and both actions are perfectly crisp and function flawlessly. The nipples are clean and properly fitted . Buyer pays $20.00 shipping to lower 48 states.
