Description:
Browning Superposed 12 gauge O/U shotgun made in Belgium, in 1949. 26 ½” barrels with raised solid rib and choked M/F; single selective trigger with non-automatic safety. 14 1/8” LOP over factory butt plate; 1 9/16” DAC and 2 ½” DAH with neutral cast. Weighs 6 lbs. 12 oz. I believe that the metal was reblued at some time. But whoever did the work was meticulous and they did not over polish any of the engraving details. Regardless it looks good with about 90-95% metal finish and 85-90% wood finish. Characteristically there are two small cracks in the forearm..one on each side toward the rear. Beautiful bore and the gun locks up tightly. Granted it is 71 years old and has been used.
