Description:
Here is a Marlin Model 1893, Deluxe Pistol Grip, 26" Bbl, 1/2 Octagon, 1/2 Magazine, Takedown rifle in 30/30 WITH the original wood. The stamped serial number on the inside tang of the stock matches the frame so I am assuming it is original to the gun. The wood appears to have been refinished and looks great. The hole you see at the butt goes in about 1-1/2" and I can't explain why it's there, but it is covered up by the buttplate, is unnoticeable and doesn't affect anything. The rifle includes an original (fairly uncommon) Hepburn receiver sight. The action is smooth and locks up tight. The takedown function is also perfect and tight. The bore is great with clean lands and grooves. I believe it was made around 1909. Ask all questions before buying as there are no returns. Must be sent to a FFL or C&R holder and shipping/insurance to be paid by the buyer.
