Payment Types Accepted: USPS money order and certified cashier's check Description: An LC Smith Field grade 12 gauge with ejectors, recently restored to almost like new condition. This is a robust gun with 30" barrels choked F/F, new double white beads, 1 9/16" DAC, 14 3/8" LOP over new vintage style pad, 2 3/4" chambers, and weighing in at 8 lbs, 1 oz. The action locks up tight like new and the ejectors are strong and work perfectly. 3 position safety allows a shooter to shoot clays with the safety off in the rear position so it does not reset automatically every time the gun is opened. Inletted and epoxy bedded behind the locks to resist cracking. Perfect mirror shiny bores. Regular frame. This gun was designed for stout loads and likely served as somebody's prized duck and goose gun back in the days before steel shot. Barrels freshly rust blued, frame and forend iron bone charcoal case colored with beautiful colors and patterns, furniture hot blued and stocks refinished with hand rubbed oil. This great example of a vintage double is both usable and collectable. Hi def photos taken in natural light will tell the rest of the story. A note about the barrels....the lighting makes them look a bit grayish. I will guarantee that in person they are a deep rich black color, and not at all grey. Lettering is sharp and screws are all properly aligned, tight, and slots are all just about perfect. Feel free to ask any questions, and check out my other listings. 3 day non-shooting, non-disassembly inspection period runs from time of receipt by your FFL. $60 insured USPS priority mail.
