THIS M1 GARAND BY SPRINGFIELD IS OF FAIRLY RECENT PRODUCTION, ALTHOUGH THE BARREL IS MARKED 6-43. THE GUN HAS ONLY ONE SMALL WOOD DENT AND NO METAL WEAR AT ALL BUT HAS BEEN FIRED AS EVIDENCED BY A LITTLE OIL/POWDER RESIDUE ON THE BOLT FACE.
