Description:
This Colt was produced in 1938. The pistol's serial number is 32448. This Rare Colt is in near new condition! There is very little sign that this pistol may have been fired. The Colt retains 99% of it's high polish original finish. The barrel is in new condition showing a minty bore. The barrel is properly marked for the 38 Super. It is stamped by the left side near the barrel lug "Colt 38 Super Auto". The barrel has the correct high polish top. The original magazine has the correct two tone body. The original wood grips are in very fine condition with sharp checkering. The right panel shows some point flattening in spots. The action works smoothly with no issues. Very few 38 Supers were fitted with this Swartz Safety device. It is similar in function to the Colt Series "80" pistols. This pistol Swartz Safety is fully intact and works correctly. This is a very rare highly collectable Colt! Any serious collector collecting the Colt civilian series of 1911 pistols would certainly want to have one of these fine pistols in their collection!
