Description:
A good working Arisaka Type 99 Rifle called last ditch as the butt-plate is wood, the rear sight is non-adjustable static type , bolt handel is oval not round, and the front band is welded on. These were still deadly weapons in the hands of a skilled marksman! The 26" long barrel has a good bore with typical strong rifling and some roughness in the grooves from wartime corrosive primers. Will spin a bullet good.Action works well, and the maker isTokyo Juki Kogyo, made 1940 to 1945. The tesak wood stock has wartoime dings, and scrapes, nothing serkious and is roughly/crudely shaped and finished. No MUM as it had been ground Sn 23842, and the bolt has the number: 842(matching). No provision for a cleaning rod.When buying a gun always have it examined by a competent gunsmith before shooting.
