Very Rare Smith & Wesson 357 Magnum Transitional Post War Model; Serial No. S75529; Some Pre-War Registered Magnum Parts (Frame, Barrel, Hammer, and Grips); Some Post-War Parts; This Very Rare Revolver with a 3 ½” Barrel was One of 12 Revolvers Shipped to Straus Frank Co., San Antonio, Texas for the San Antonio Police Dept. on March 21, 1950; Lots of Photos were Sent to Roy Jinks of this Revolver and He Said All Looked Original to Him and you never know what you got with a Transitional Model; I also called Retired San Antonio Police Chief Bill Gibson and he related he has Never Heard of One of These Revolvers; Very Good Condition, Especially for a Police Gun with nearly All of the Original Blue Still Present; Nice Grips with Late Pre-War Insert with Patent Dates (See “Standard Catalogue of Smith & Wesson” page 22); This is One of Only 142 Transitional Models Produced and Most were Ordered by Police Depts.
