Description:
Outstanding Early Colt Third Generation Single Action Army Revolver, #SA27XXX, .357 Magnum, 7-1/2" barrel, blue finish, color case hardened frame. Rampant Colt and eagle pattern grips are both marked on the backside "COLT'S HTFD. CONN.", with the serial number lightly scatched into the surface. Year of manufacture is 1979. Includes the original simulated wood grain box with correct numbered end label, two-piece styrofoam insert, owner's manual, yellow hang tag, and other misc. factory paperwork.
This revolver is in excellent as new overall condition, appearing unfired. Approx. 99%+ factory blue finish remains, case colors are vibrant, factory lettering is crisp. The cylinder with a very faint index line between a few of the cylinder stop notches. Grips show no handling wear. There is one very small handling mark on the top left edge of the frame and on the ejector rod housing. Bright hammer and bore. Box shows signs of age and wear, end label remains intact and is completely legible; one of the small inner flaps is missing, others have been repaired with clear tape.
