ALMOST NEVER FOUND IN 308 AT THIS LOW PRICE.... vintage 742 has been hunted and shows evidence of use for the 50 plus yrs since it was made. The forend was cracked and repaired as is shown in pics. If someon wanted to make it nicer forend are often found on ebay and other places for not too much $.
The bore is good, the blue is fair to good. We are rating the overall cond. at 70%. Nice figure on butt stock with the old style alum butt plate. This would make a good truck gun.
It has a Weaver style one pc scope base however it is for a very specifi type of mount so the base will need to be replaced.
We have many old period correct scopes avail that would be a great fit for this gun and might have bases and rings...pls inquire.
