"Shooter's Dream" is how I would describe this early example of an American M1D Sniper. The rifles condition is immaculate with only the standard signs of use showingm no scratches, dings or dents along any of the metal. The woods is in a different condition than the metal but has no dings, or scratches on the butt stock. Everything on this is rifle is correct with many parts matching the early serial number of the receiver, which was manufactured in February of 1942. Op-Rod shows no signs of being fired with bad ammo and is marked with a 3SA. The trigger guard is the correct early milled piece with the whole milled for the winter trigger guard. The trigger housing is also early WWII.
This sniper also features the early and very desirable and early "flush nut" rear sight. The barrel is marked SA-8-52 and has the correct markings, ending with 555, ontop of it. The bore readings are awesome with the throat reading a 1 and the muzzle reading a 2. It also comes with a correct early flash-hider. The original M84 scope is in awesome shape with a clear reticle, however, there seems to be something attached to one of the lenses. The dust covers, though, are present and show no signs of use or damage. If you wanted an M1D sniper without breaking the bank, this one is perfect. It would turn heads at the range and can be hte center piece to any sniper collection or M1 Garand collection..... SHIPPED..... $2895.
